Earth

A bright Sapphire jewel, unique in this place,
Alone but life giving o're all Her sweet face.
Great waters encircle, with teaming lives filled
Sea beasts, strange and common; air breathing and gilled.

From out of the waters arise many lands.
High mountains, ice capped, down to warm wave swept sands.
The soft rolling meadows of flowers and grass
Ice blue glacier lakes, beauty none can surpass.

Green forests and jungles; deserts gold and white
A silver grey moon shining down in the night
Pale turquoise and ruby red sunsets at eve
Kaleidoscope birds, colors eyes can't believe.

Across the land masses on four legs and two
Are creatures, uncountable, of every hue.
Some tiny yet powerful; some large and weak
From caverns of darkness to bright mountain peak.

This jewel of life, beautiful from afar
Is mother to many and warmed by a star.
The third of star's children to mankind gave birth;
Sol's fairest and favorite, our Mother Earth.

Please! Keep her beautiful.
