Saturn

A strange Picasso-painted orb
close garbed in viels of deadly gas
which dance eternally around
her face. She gathers all who pass

in ageless steps. Wind ravaged songs
erupting from her lonely throne
to harmonize among the stars
escape her icy belts of stone.

Her children, spawned when She was new
by chains of gravity, enslave.
See not Her face or feel her love
from heart in secret frozen grave.

Uncounted entourage in tow
with multi-colored patterns, dressed;
in Sol's great bed, made long ago
doth our big sister, Saturn, rest.
