Uranus

A Robin's egg with jade green hue,
You're spinning on your side
Ten-ringed and beaded like none else
Within our stellar view
I'm sitting here and wondering,
"With what did you collide,
And was that thing the reason
You rotate the way you do?"

Your poision air enshrouds your face
While blocking Sol's dim light
So your magnetic fields produced
A glow from deep within
To give the would-be traveler
A soul inspiring sight
Of sunward glowing face
And soft auroras while you spin

Your children, all attentive,
Never turn their backs on you
From Oberon to tiny Puck,
Like soldiers on parade
In nearly perfect circles,
They dance quietly in queue
And watch your ever changing face
Of blue to purple shade

The seventh child of Sol,
You really are the lucky one
Some others may have shattered
From that long forgotten blow
From stellar orb you captured
On its way toward the sun.
Which may have been the reason
You can now put on your show.
